LORDSHIP: We recognise our absolute dependence on God as our Father, on Jesus Christ as our Saviour and Lord and on the Holy Spirit as our Helper and Guide. Job 38 – 42:6; Isaiah 40:1-31; Hebrews 1:1-4,10-12

PRAYER AND WORSHIP: We are committed to acknowledge this dependence in regular prayer and worship. Psalm 95:1-7; Acts 2:42-47

BIBLE: We believe that the Bible is given us by God as the supreme authority
for life and faith and should be studied faithfully and expounded clearly. Deut 6:1-9; 2 Tim 3:14-17; Heb 4:12

SPIRITUAL GROWTH: We are committed to personal spiritual growth and we believe that this kind of life-change happens best in small groups. Acts 2:42-47; Rom 12:1-2

FIRST AND BEST:   We seek to respond to God’s call before any other and to offer Him only our best effort. Mal 1:6-14; Exodus 2:19a; 2 Cor 8:5; Col 3:17; 1 Tim 4:12; 2 Tim 2:15

LIFESTYLE: Because Jesus Christ is Lord of our lives and depending on His grace we strive to live distinctively Christian lives. Rom 12:1-3, 9-21; Eph 4:22-6:9; Phil 2:1-15; Heb 13:1-6; James 1:19-2:17; 1John 2:4-6

RELATIONSHIPS:    We strive to build a loving and gracious fellowship where people are healed and reconciled and personal relationships are  nurtured (where racial, cultural, economic and work-related barriers are broken down). Ps 133; Jn 13:34-35; 1 Cor 13; Eph 4:1-3, 9, 32; I Jn 2:9-11; Jn 3:11-19

EVERY MEMBER MINISTRY:  We believe that all members of the church are ministers and we will strive to use our God-given gifts and abilities to the glory of God, and for the strengthening of the church. Rom 12:1-13; 1 Cor 12& 14; Eph 4:11-16

RELEVANCE:  We strive to be culturally relevant while holding firmly to the truth of the Scriptures. 1 Cor 9:19-23; Col 4: 4-6

FAMILY: We believe it is important to nurture and develop healthy Christian family life and relationships within the church and society. Eph 5:21-6:4; Col 3:18-21

EVANGELISM:  God loves all people and therefore we will reach out to those around us with the saving message of Jesus Christ. Matt 18:10-14; Matt 28:16-20; Luke 5:30-32; Luke 15

SOCIAL ACTION:  We accept our God-given responsibility to be involved in social action to relieve and empower those who are poor, hungry, cold, in  prison or are unjustly treated. Isaiah 58:1-12; Amos 2:6-7; Matt 25: 31-46; Lk 4:18-19; Gal 6:9-10

STEWARDSHIP:  We believe that all we have comes to us as a gift from God, and we willingly share ourselves and our resources to make His name known.
